Challenges in achieving photorealism

I’ve been experimenting with textures in Blender and noticed how crucial lighting is to achieving that photorealistic look. It’s fascinating how a slight adjustment can make or break the realism. Has anyone else struggled with this, and what techniques have you found most effective for enhancing realism in your 3D models?

I totally get that! It’s like trying to take a picture of a great dinner — you can have the best plate, but if the lighting’s off, it looks bland… Using HDRI maps really helped me enhance that depth in my scenes.
